THE WHOLE IDEA IS TO TAKE A RUNNING IRON HEAD AND TURN IT INTO A CHOPPER FOR AS LITTLE CASH AS POSSIBLE . FIRST THING TO GO IS SWING ARM SHOCKS FENDERS LIGHTS AND AS MUCH CHROME AS I CAN SAND BLAST OR SHIT CAN.NEXT STEP IS TO MAKE THE DECISION TO GO WITH BOLT ON OR WELD ON HARD TAIL .
TOTAL TEAR DOWN NEEDED
JUST A FEW NOTES #1 1975 AND OTHER YEARS IRONHEAD HAVE NO OIL COOLING SYSTEM. A MUST TO KEEP HER ALIVE.#2 XLCH'S HAVE NO ELE START LESS SHIT TO GO WRONG WITH BIKE MAJOR PROBLEM FOR KNEES.#3 35MM FORK MADE IN JAPAN WHY GOD WHY? #4 IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO WRENCH BUY AN EVO.

BOLT ON OR WELD ON
I HAD TO RESEARCH ALL PARTS HOUSE AND JAGOFF'S. I FOUND 2 ONE WAS .WWW.LEGENDMCS.COM / FRAMES-CHASSIS / HARDTAILS.HTML PRICE WAS AROUND 125.00 good people to deal with. WWW.CYBORGCYCLES.COM has them for 114.00 . Hardtail found at right price .now to decide wether to use bolt on or weld on.If you notice the big square you must bolt too on the top part of the frame, not a look I wanted. I opted for the weld on top and bolt on bottom yet to do this I had to lop off the square tube top not a problem for me just remember that once this is done there is no turning back and the frame is a chopper for life .NEXT STEP welding it on I bolted the bottom 4 bolts and then welded the top just weld them grind off the shitty parts smooth. One problem with the seat post its higher so you will have to do a lot of grinding check the pic's for the visuals .
